On March 18, 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between TSU College of Media and Television Arts and the National Palace, which provides for the development of educational, research cooperation and joint projects.
The first joint video project was planned within the framework of the memorandum, which involved students of TV directing, journalism, photography, cinematography and editing programs.
At the initiative of the National Palace, the Gia Kancheli Tbilisi Youth Orchestra performed a musical work in support of Ukraine, which was photographed and videotaped by college students as part of a practical module. The event was held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between TSU College of Media and Television Arts and the National Palace.
The memorandum was signed by the director of the palace, Tika Rukhadze and the director of the college Zurab Oshkhneli.
The memorandum envisages the organization of cultural, educational and youth projects and programs, as well as the implementation of joint projects and programs.
The training process for short-term training programs in photo editing and editing-graphic design has been successfully completed.
The duration of the photo editing program was 2 months. 15 students were enrolled in the program. 7 students successfully completed the training. The duration of the editing-graphic designer program was 3 months. 15 students were enrolled in the program. 9 students successfully completed the study.
The learning process for both programs was conducted in a practical way, both in a real-world learning environment and through the online platform Teams.
Culinary colleges - "Icarus", "Mermis", "Black", "New Wave", Ilia Tsinamdzgvrishvili College, "Aisi" and "Horizon" took part in the competition.
The competition task was to prepare a New Year's dish for a limited time. The competition was evaluated by a jury consisting of Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Chef Esma Kunchulia, Founder of the Gastronomic Museum, and Tina Vashakidze, Chef. According to the decision of the jury, Nana Nanava, a student of Mermisi College, won the first place. Mrs. Tamar Kitiashvili, who became a contestant from Ikaros College, presented symbolic gifts to all participants of the competition on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Chef Tina Vashakidze became sympathetic to the students of "Mermisi" and "Aisi" colleges, who will undergo an internship in her own restaurant. Esma Kunchulia, the founder of the Gastronomic Museum, presented multifunctional watches to her two favorite students from the colleges "Black" and "Horizon".

Construction of TSU College of Media and Television Arts Student Television "Parachute" aerial studio has been successfully completed.
A modern, state-of-the-art television studio has been set up for professional students, where they will work on recording, filming and editing the program.

On September 25, TSU College of Media and Television Arts hosted an online presentation of the UN project "Modernization of the Vocational Education and Training System in the Agricultural Sector", Phase 2. At the meeting, the PR managers of Modus College, New Wave, Opizari and Ilia Tsinamdzgvrishvili College presented the one-year PR campaign of the colleges. The presentation featured a screening of 4 informational videos shot and edited by the college creative team as part of the project. The project was attended by public relations managers of vocational colleges in the field of agriculture in Georgia, who were trained for a week on the following topics:
"How to plan an effective PR campaign"
"Photography and Editing"
"Specifics of creating a video product"
The presentation was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia, Tamar Kitiashvili and representatives of the donor organization, who positively assessed the goals and results achieved by the project.

By the order of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of September 11, 2020 and according to the plan developed by the college, the study process at the College of Media and Television Arts of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University was transferred to remote mode by October 1, 2020. Under the auspices of the Georgian Film Academy, the International Internet Short Film Festival "Diogenes 2020" is being organized for those isolated due to quarantine.

TSU College of Media and Television Arts will take part in the implementation of the joint project "Teleskoli" of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia and the First Channel.
The project started on March 30 and continues successfully.
From April 13, TSU College of Media and Television Arts will broadcast "First Channel-Education" TV lessons for ethnic minority students in Armenian and Azerbaijani languages. TV lessons are designed for students of all grades.
According to the decree of the Government of Georgia, in order to prevent the possible spread of coronavirus infection, the educational process in vocational and higher education institutions will be suspended from March 4 to March 16. Educational institutions should carry out disinfection works for prophylaxis in accordance with the protocol prescribed by the Ministry of Health.

On January 28, a presentation of films made with the participation of students was held at TSU College of Media and Television Arts.
Cognitive films were created to promote various professions, preceded by a competition for students.
As a result of the competition, four winning ideas were revealed in the following professions - dairy and dairy processing, poultry, ornamental plant gardener - florist and baker. A group of college students and staff were involved in the preparation, filming and editing of screenplays on the subject.
Representatives of the Georgian Farmers' Association, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the United Nations Development Program and other professional colleges attended the screening of the films.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Tamar Kitiashvili delivered a speech after the screening of the films and praised the students' works.
At the end of the event, future plans were made and the idea of the next project emerged
With the financial support of the United Nations Development Program, TSU College of Media and Television Arts is implementing the project "Modernization of the Agricultural Vocational Education and Training System in Georgia, Phase 2".
The training was held at the New Wave College in Kobuleti from January 19 to January 25, 2020, with the participation of public relations managers of agricultural colleges.
For 6 days, the training instructors taught the beneficiaries how to take photos and edit, the specifics of creating a video product, and the strategy of planning an effective PR campaign.
The last 2 days of the training were fully dedicated to the shooting of the image video of the New Wave College, which was led by the production team of the TSU Media and Television Arts College.

On December 20, 2019, Zurab Oshkhneli, Director of the TSU College of Media and Television Arts, and Tinatin Arjevanidze, Producer, paid a working visit to the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.
The meeting was attended by the Rector of the State Academy of Arts of Belarus and the heads of the Faculty of Screen Arts. At the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of future cooperation, which was later confirmed by the signing of a memorandum of cooperation.
The memorandum provides opportunities for specialists to conduct trainings, participate in a student exchange program and gain new work experience.

During the meeting both sides discussed the possibilities of future cooperation. Plans were made to train the specialists, participate in student exchange programs and gain new work experience.

On October 29, the Gldani Vocational Training Center hosted the presentation of the second phase of the EU Youth Training and Employment Project (skills4jobs).
The priority of the Government of Georgia is to increase and develop the number of vocational schools. With the help of the European Union, vocational colleges are trained. The availability of qualified personnel in line with the requirements of the labor market will reduce the level of unemployment in the country in the future.
Within the framework of the event, an exhibition of various professional colleges was organized in Gldani school.
The visitor could see the showrooms of the vocational colleges in Georgia throughout the day and get information about them.
The virtual studio, arranged by the College of Media and Television Arts, attracted the special attention of the viewers.
The event was attended by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia and the Ambassador of the European Union with a special delegation.
With the support of the European Union, it is planned to open vocational schools in the regions. The organizers of the event are planning many more activities in the future.
On 4th of October, 2019 Media and TV Art College celebrated its 30th anniversary of foundation. During the celebration week different specialists from Poland, USA and Georgia run the masterclasses for our students.
Celebration ceremony took place at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. All the former students were invited to attend the evening.
Celebration evening ended with the screening of Film, describing 3o years history of Television school.
Polish cameramen from Warsaw film school, Andrzej Wolf run the masterclasses at CMTV. The topic of the masterclass was Imaginal art – lenses we use, how focal length influenced art – range from 14 to 150 mm, hot light – key light, rim light – back light , how to create space from the scratch, low level light- dimmer use – additional dimmer needed. During three days students had an honor to work with Mr. wolf, ask him the questions and share the experience.
On 1,2 and 3 of October, Polish producer from Lodz film school, Marcin Malatysnki run the masterclasses at CMTV. The topic of masterclasses were fingerprints from 50’s till now, case study, how to make a low budget film, which will find it’s way into the international festival circuit.
On 1,2 and 3 of October director of Krakow school of art and fashion design, Jerzy Gawel run masterclasses in fashion photography at CMTV. During three days the students of photography program practised in editorial and street photography, how to make a lookbook, specifics of lighting, shooting and etc.
On 12 and 13 of September, Ia Meurmishvili, journalist of Voice of America and anchor of “Washington Today” run the masterclasses at CMTV for the students of Journalism and Video Operating program. The topic of the masterclass was “political interview”.
Georgian-American joint TV project “An ocean Apart, A world together” was successfully accomplished in 1996 for the first time. That was the kick off the long-termed partnership between CMTV and GHSTV.
After 23 years of friendship our students are here still together for the second part of our joint TV project “An ocean Apart, A world together: New Beginnigs”.
